Polyelectrolytes and coagulants dry powder dosifier system
Polyectrolyte and coagulant dosifier system "AKDO"
Introduction
AKDO" is an automatic dry powder dosifier system to supply polyelectrolytes in the form of powder. Polyelectrolytes are synthetic, organic, polymeric chemical additives which are added to waste effluent or water, either in combination with other inorganic bases or with other polyelectrolytes. Polyelectrolyte solutions are added to waste effluents and water in order to facilitate and enhance the formation of solid aggregates in various waste and water treatment methods, for instance flotation, sedimentation, fattening and dehydration.
Operation process
Firstly polyelectrolyte in powder is unloaded into a vessel with sloping walls. At the bottom of the vessel there is a screw which carries the powder into a idroeeknefoti. The idroen=knefotis operates with water and it disperses the powder into very small grains thereby, enhancing the complete dilution of the electrolyte. Initial dilution (0.5-1.0% w/w) occurs in a tank equipped with a stirrer to promote complete dilution. Then the solution is pumped into a second vessel, equipped with a dosimetric pump, where final dilution (0.1%) takes place and the solution is ready for use.
Construction materials
Polyelectrolytes in general are not corrosive. However water is corrosive therefore "AKDO" is made mainly of stainless steel. Very few parts are made of engineering plastic.
